"Unless you know anything about hover engines, I don't think you can help me," said the robozzum with resignation.
"Who knows?" said the little red robot mysteriously and began to examine. He took a few tools and a bottle of oil from the small container he was carrying. He removed a part of the robozoom's casing, pulled out some cables, and carefully tinkered inside him. He put some things back in place and used his finger to weld the cracked parts.
"Try to start the engine!" the little robot asked the robozoom.
"Zoom-zoom-zzzzoom!" came the marvelous sound from the motor. The hover engine worked! It wasn't perfect, but it worked. The robozoom was so happy that he forgot about his benefactor for a moment. By the time he turned back to thank her, the little red robot had already disappeared.
The robozoom carefully hovered back to the road and slowly headed towards the Parcel Distribution Centre. He was only half as fast as before, but he was still faster than most robots. However, he now cautiously avoided the others and didn't get angry when they slowed him down. It was as if his arrogance had been shattered down there on the riverbank, along with his hover engine. Or perhaps the little red robot had repaired his soul as well as his metal body. Who knows?
