Who knows how much time had passed when, one quiet night, a long streak of light illuminated the eastern sky. Nocturnal creatures turned their heads in amazement, then quickly fled to safety. The streak of light exploded
with a deafening roar, its flash illuminating the entire area. Molten particles of plastic and metal rained down from the sky, and moments later, something landed in the sand with a dull thump
. A bit later, a large silver egg emerged from the darkness and slowly, with clumsy swaying, rolled towards the motionless body of the robot princess.
Everything fell silent. Not even the crickets in the coastal thickets dared to chirp.
Suddenly, with a soft crack
, the egg cracked open and a faint light streamed out, casting a bluish glow that gently bathed the blind, tormented face of the robot princess.
